Setup

First you need to upload the Scroller folder into the themes folder.

  1. Upload your theme into wp-content/themes folder, under your root.
  2. Go to the Wordpress Admin Panel (wp-admin). Click on Themes menu under the Appearance tab. If you uploaded the theme correctly you should see Scroller under the Available Themes.
  3. Click to Activate link to activate the theme. It’s activated.

Add the Portfolio page:

  1. Create category “Portfolio”.
  2. Create post in category “Portfolio”.
    Use Excerpt area to display your portfolio title.
    Create and use Custom Fields:
    “port_small” (225×130 px. Thumbnail for the Portfolio Page),
    “port-big” (700×432 px. Preview for the Portfolio Page),
    “indexpic” (474×271 px. To display at the Main Page Slider)
    “portfolio_link” (Just enter here your work URL – not required)
  3. Create more posts in category “Portfolio”.
  4. To activate the Portfolio, enter the ID of “Portfolio” category to the “Portfolio ID” area in Scroller Options Page (Admin – Appearance – Scroller Options)

Add the Main page:

  1. Create page “Main” and select the template “main page template”.
  2. To activate the Main Page, enter the ID of “Main” page to the “Main Page ID” area in Scroller Options Page (Admin – Appearance – Scroller Options)
  3. Than go to “Admin – Settings – Reading” and set “A static page – Front page displays Main”.
  4. Enter text or HTML to 3 textareas in Scroller Options Page: “Index Intro”, “Index Left” and “Index Right”.

Add the Blog:

  1. Create page “Blog”.
  2. Than go to “Admin – Settings – Reading” and set “A static page – Posts page displays Blog”.

Add the Contacts page:

  1. Create page “Contacts”.
  2. To activate the Contact form, enter the ID of “Contacts” page to the “Contact Page ID” area in Scroller Options Page (Admin – Appearance – Scroller Options)
  3. Enter your e-mail to the file: js/contact/config.php and form should work.
  4. Create and use custom field “sidebar” on the page “Contacts” to display more contact information in the sidebar.

Add pages and subpages.

There is a drop-down menu in this theme.
Use Custom Field “sidebar” in pages, post there anything you want to display it at the sidebars of your website pages.
Use Custom Field “short_text” in pages to display the title on your website pages.

Use widgets.

There are 6 widget areas in Scroller.
The first one (named Right Sidebar) used in the Right part of posts.
Оther 5 widget areas (5 colomns), are used in footer.
